4th of July Events in Eagle Country

Who is ready for some patriotic fun!?

Below is a running list of Independence Day celebrations in the area. For events not listed please email full details to be added.   

 

SATURDAY, JUNE 29

Thank a Vet Day - The Harrison VFW Post 7570 presents its 4th annual Thank a Vet Day from 1:00-5:00 p.m. The event will feature Huey Helicopter rides for purchase, military vehicles on display, drink specials for Vets (with ID card), DJ, food truck, and live music from Flipside. A special Salute to Veterans will take place at 3:00 p.m. Eagle Country 99.3 will broadcast live from the event from 2-5. 

Light Up Aurora - Come for the Party, Stay for the Show. Join the fun from 6:00-10:00 p.m. at Gabbard Riverfront Park. The event will feature live music from Kristine Kabbes and The Skallywags, River City Class Car Club Cruise In, Beer and Wine Garden, Vendors, Food, and Kids Area. Fireworks over the Ohio River start at 10:00. Listen to synchronized music on Eagle Country 99.3.

 

WEDNESDAY, JULY 3 

Florence, Ky. Independence Day Celebration - The event begins at 6:00 p.m. and will feature a wide variety of food trucks to satisfy everyone’s taste buds including Dreamy Whip, Kona Ice, Travelin’ Tom’s, The Art of Fusion, Wild Side Experience, Bailey Jayne’s, and Buffalo’s Best. The evening will begin with a performance by the Florence Community Band at 6:00 p.m. The headlining act, “East of Austin”, will take the stage at 7:00 p.m. to deliver an electrifying live music experience. The celebration will culminate in a spectacular fireworks display by Elite Pyrotechnics at 10:00 p.m.

 

THURSDAY, JULY 4

Greendale's Fourth of July Celebration - The day starts with the Greendale 4th of July 5K Run/Walk. Day of registration will be available from 6:30-8:00 AM at the Greendale Cabin. Online registration is available at www.stuartroadracing.com. The Fishing Derby starts at 9 AM at Schnebelt Pond. Enjoy the Greendale Pool from noon to 6:00 PM. The Bike and Golf Cart Parades will lineup at Oakey Park. Bike Parade starts at 2:00 p.m. followed by the Golf Cart Parade at 2:30. Entertainment and fireworks at Greendale Park between 7:30 and 10:00. Enjoy vendors, live music, and fireworks (beginning around 9:50 p.m.)

Milan Fireworks - Fireworks to be set off from the Park at dusk.

Stricker's Grove 4th of July Celebration - Enjoy rides, food, friends and family and cap the day off with fireworks! Admission to the park is free. If your party would like to ride rides, tickets and armbands (for unlimited rides) will be available for purchase. Park Admission: FREE - Park Hours: 2pm - 11pm Rides: 3pm - 11pm Fireworks: 10pm. Parking is $5 per car before 6 pm, and $10 per car after 6 pm. Food and alcohol will be available for purchase, or you may bring your own food. 

Harrison Recreation Commission Harrison 4th of July – Food and family fun from 4:00 p.m. to dusk. The event will feature a parade, live music, family activities, free cornhole tournament, fireworks, and food, drinks and adult beverages for sale.  

North Dearborn Community Park (5687 N. Dearborn Rd, Guilford, IN - next to the Trojan Youth Football field)
Enjoy food trucks, face painting, a flag dedication and FIREWORKS! The flag dedication presented, by the Boy Scouts begins at 7:30p with Miss Chloe Stewart singing the National Anthem. Docs Coffee, Kona Ice, DeLISHous Creations, L.A. Sweets, BBQ and hot dogs and hamburgers will there! Firework viewing at 1015 pm. Bring a chair or a blanket and ENJOY!

 

FRIDAY, JULY 5 

Ripley County Chamber of Commerce Fireworks Night - The 23rd annual event takes place at the Ripley County Fairgrounds in Osgood starting at 5:00 p.m. The free family event features food and vendor booths, DJ, live entertainment, and fireworks at dark. Attendees are encouraged to bring your own lawn chairs. 

 

SATURDAY, JULY 6 

Rising Sun Stars & Stripes Celebration - The free event runs from 4:00-10:30 p.m. in downtown Rising Sun. The event will feature arts & crafts, vendors, food trucks, foam party, live music from Saffire Express Band and Hank Ruff Music, Deejay JD Hughes, and fireworks display at 10:00. Bring your own lawn chairs.
