(Covington, Ky.) - A Walton man has been ordered to serve 22 years behind bars for dealing methamphetamine.
Garret Gadd, 45, was sentenced Thursday in U.S. District Court in Covington by U.S. District Judge David L. Bunning.
The Northern Kentucky Drug Strike Force and the Drug Enforcement Administration found 150 grams of crystal meth in Gadd’s home in May of 2017. Scales and baggies were also found by investigators.
Gadd pleaded guilty in February to conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine, which helped him to avoid a possible life sentence. He had multiple prior felony convictions for methamphetamine distribution, U.S. attorney said.
Under federal law, Gadd must serve at least 85 percent of his prison sentence. Once released, he’ll be on probation for 10 years.
A codefendant, Regina Gripshover, was sentenced to 46 months in prison.
