Jennifer Nettles Tweets "I Believe You"

The Sugarland singer issued a series of tweets about sexual assault.

(Nashville, TN)  --  Jennifer Nettles is speaking out following the high profile confirmation hearings involving Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh.

On Twitter yesterday, Nettles posted a message to her "loves out there who are hurting."

She wrote, "I first want to say that I see you and I love you.  I also want to tell you that I believe you."

Nettles said she felt compelled to address the issue because of the young women who look to her as a role model who might appreciate hearing from her.

She said, "For them, I will cross the border of entertainment and walk into a space of human love and support."
