Confederate Railroad Dropped From Du Quoin State Fair

A blogger found their name offensive.

(Du Quoin, IL)  --  The Confederate Railroad will not be performing at the Du Quoin State Fair in Illinois like originally planned.

The 1990s country rock group was dropped from the lineup because a blogger found their name offensive.

The fair manger says dropping the band was, "in the best interest of serving all of the people in our state."

The Confederate Railroad was set to perform on August 27th as part of an event called "90s Country ReLoaded Day" with acts like Shenandoah and Restless Hart.
