(INDIANAPOLIS) - Two high school football teams from southeastern Indiana will start the 2021 season ranked in the Top 10 of their respective classes.

The Indiana Football Coaches Association released this week its 2021 Pre-Season Coaches Poll.

In Class 4A, the East Central Trojans are ranked 6th to start the season. The Trojans are coming off an (8-3) season, which ended with a sectional championship loss to Mooresville.

Lawrenceburg, East Central's opening week opponent, was voted as the #2 team in Class 3A to start the season. The Tigers went 11-2 a year ago, losing in the regional to Southridge.

North Decatur was the only other team in the region to receive votes. The Chargers will start the season just outside the Top 10 in Class 1A.
