(Lawrenceburg, Ind.) - Lawrenceburg City Councilman Dylan Liddle announced that the Indiana Housing & Community Development Authority (IHCDA) has formally awarded tax credits for the development of new senior affordable housing at Durbin Plaza, located at 110 W Tate St / Front St in District 2.

The project will deliver 52 total units of age-restricted housing for seniors and represents a $15.7 million investment in Lawrenceburg’s future.

Preliminary site plans include:

  • 52 total units
  • 25 one-bedroom units
  • 27 two-bedroom units
  • Income-restricted at 60% and 30% of Area Median Income (AMI)
  • Supported by $1.3 million in IHCDA tax credits

Councilman Liddle emphasized that this development brings enormous value to the city, without placing the burden on local taxpayers.

“This investment will cost the City of Lawrenceburg nearly nothing except providing the lot, and by leveraging grants and tax credit programs made available through IHCDA and the Statehouse, we are delivering real results for our residents without raising costs on them.”

Liddle continued:

“This is a tremendous milestone for Lawrenceburg. By securing these resources, we are ensuring that our seniors — many of whom spent their lives building this community — will have access to affordable, dignified, and secure housing close to healthcare,
shopping, and family."
